The Centre for Inquiry is an educational charity that seeks to advance critical thinking, scientific literacy, secular humanism and freedom of thought. We also aim to develop communities where individuals who value these things can gather and share their experiences.
The Okanagan branch of CFI is very active. We hold frequent social gatherings (such as Skeptics in the Park when the weather is nice and Secular Social year round), monthly Round Table discussion groups, monthly Café Inquiry presentations, monthly Kids for Inquiry discussion groups for children between 7 and 12 years old, as well as occasional special events.
See the calendar for details of upcoming events. Please contact us if you'd like to attend an event — or just show up!
CFI-Okanagan founded the non-religious peer support group for those struggling with addictions: the Kelowna Secular Sobriety Group. KSSG meets every Tuesday at 7pm. Anyone looking to get/stay alcohol or drug-free is welcome to attend. Read the press release.
Contact the group founder and facilitator, Van Hill, for more information.
